The Sheriff and putter type...

Is there a putter type that works better or worse when using The Sheriff type of stroke? For example, would a center shafted be better than a heel shafted, face balanced better than toe hange, etc?
I was messing around with a SeeMore putter at the golf store and using its Rifle Scope Technology really reminded me of the same way The Sheriff works.
