| The more I read about pop out and non pop out, guess I am getting kind of lost. Please correct me if I am wrong, its only monitored on the backswing? Can someone describe Pop Out (the good and the bad!). Funny this is I hear all these terms on the forum and I go "thats my problem", kind of like searching Web MD lol. Is there any pop out here? Took video this October, why am i standing so close to the ball (lol internal question for myself) |

The pop out Brian is referring to in SD video is the convoluted idea some people have of taking the club up some imaginary plane angle drawn on a computer screen. If your body actually turns properly in the first move your hands should follow suit inside of where most people have been told. If you are trying to go up that "line" they will be forced to "popout" away from your body. See Adam Scott. The rotation of the arm you all are talking about is a reaction to the popout, not the cause. You can rotate the arm and not popout. If the hands go out, the club will need to at some point go in so you rotate the left arm. Very common problem and very destructive.
