Default Just in case you didn't notice....

Did anyone take note that all, and I mean all, players (except the drawers of the ball) were aiming left for their irons at the Open.

I'm just saying..........

All the time.....

Speaking of alignment, is it just me, or does Mickelson always look closed to his target, particularly on iron shots? Seems like he has to look "over" his right shoulder to look at the target.

Yes.

And in fact did you also notice how many times Johnny Miller said someone was lining up "pretty far left" for an iron or how many times he said Tiger was going to hit a fade based on lining up left with an iron and Tiger in fact hit it straight or a draw?

Yes totally. Tigers last shot of the day on Sat when he birdied he was set up left and Johnny called for the cut and that sucker went straight if not a slight draw. I dvr'd it so I want to look at it again but it was a dart. It would seem that set up and shot would be something he should do more often instead of the square stance try to hit it straight or draw it.

Default Yup!

Back in May of 2007, I posted this to the forum: "I followed many players at Riviera this year and was very surprised to see that the majority of them lined up open and hit what I'd call a slight push." And now I know why they do that!
