| I tried hitting chips and pitches as per the video and it took awhile and some very poor shots but I finally got some nice shots until I went to a full swing. How do I go from pitches and chips to a full swing without a flip. Any suggestions or do I just keep practicing trying for a longer swing each time? My right wrist just wants to straighten out. | You must FINISH wedding ring up, forearms crossed. Start thinking of finishing there from the top, not just before impact. If you do, you can't flip. ![]()

| For me, the key element here is that the ONLY difference between the non-flip pitch shot and the non-flip full swing is MORE PIVOT. Don't do anything different with your hands or arms, just pivot more and pivot harder. If that is ALL you add, then you won't flip it. You flip it because in your head you think that a full swing requires doing something more with your hands/arms (well, at least that's why I flip it! ) |

| I second that. It was all pivot for me. Took me quite a while to figure that out. I struggled w/ total motion myself. The half and 3/4 shots were fine, making transition to total requires full pivot/weight shift. Thats where I was lacking. Im hopeful I dont flip anymore at least. Havent been able to tape. Im going by shot shape, distance and trajectory. Impact is much more crisp and powerful. |

Walt has to find a way of keeping his hands forward of the club head as it passes through the ball and down to low point. Working on the pivot, swinging through the ball NOT at it, getting the right shoulder down plane and such are places to start "digging it out of the dirt".
