| I've been off the forum for awhile. I kind of gave up on playing golf. My swing went South and didn't stop at the border. At last sight, it was down somewhere around Honduras. After 6 months away from the game I figured I'd go see Brian and see what he can do for me. I'm about to head out for two days of instruction with Brian at English Turn! Hopefully he'll help me "find my swing." Wish HIM luck. ![]() Brian, see you tomorrow! -don Last edited by d0n; 06-27-2009 at 09:35 PM. Reason: Change the Title |

| 5 hour drive from Houston. Checked into hotel and stepped out to get a bite to eat. Sitting in resturant watching it rain. Hasn't rained in Houston since May, just my luck to get here and its pouring. We'll see what happens next. |

| Updates are coming from my BlackBerry so typing and updates will be short... Day1 on the african savanna is over. Its hot! One thing I learned today was "Florida towel"! If you don't know I'm sure brian can start a thread. ![]() Swing wise, there's a lot of stuff or me to work on. Its funny we undid a lot of "others" lessons and teachings and a lot of "fixes" I've implemented along the way. Needless to say I've got a lot of fundamentals to work on. Biggest things we worked on - stronger grip, more inside takeaway, getting rid of a reverse pivot, laying the club open, the list keeps goin... Again it was funny to see all the things I've worked on in the past to be unravelled and thrown out in 2 or so hours. Its going to take some reprogramming and work on my part. Tomorows going to be a long day. I'm going to take in some New Orleans food and some of the sites. For those that have never met or taken a lesson from Brian in person, its a LOT better in person!. |

| The following picture is from today's lesson. Like Don said, we strengthened and changed the angle of his grip, adjusted his set-up, backswing pivot, & takeaway hand path, among other small details. We barely mentioned what I wanted from his HIS DOWNSWING ARMS, HANDS or GOLF CLUB. We NEVER even discussed impact. I plan to tomorrow. But, as you can see from the pictures, impact improved, and low point is further forward. (I colored Don's shirt on the "befores" blue) I have been attacked by the "lean left crowd" on many sites for my views on "The Biggest Lie Ever Told" blog, where I opined on why I think there is many better ways of getting golfers to make better contact and move their low point forward. I still think I am RIGHT. ![]()
