Default golf simulator

Forget about the price tag, what is the most realistic golf simulator? Seems to be quite a difference when you see them in different facilities.

cheers

If you talk to the different simulator companies - they all have the best one!

Personally- One of the factors for me for being "realistic" is real photos of the courses versus computer generated graphics. The best company for real photos is high definition golf - the best computer generated graphics company would be AboutGolf. Of those two companies - I believe that High Definition Golf has the best system. I will say that High Definition Golf has a very very good system. I've seen AboutGolf in person but haven't used their system.

That's a summary of the research that I did and I talked to a lot of people that have used and sold all of the top simulators.

I tried the Dancin Dogg OptiShot Infrared Golf Simulator at the PGA Tour Superstore yesterday. It will measure clubhead speed, face angle and horizontal swing plane. I thought the face angle and HSP were pretty accurate, but I couldn't trust the clubhead speed. I have about 87 mph of clubhead speed with my 6-iron and when I went on the simulator it was going in the 90-92 mph range.

You can pretty much use it anywhere, even in your living room *if* you have room to swing. That's because they use these foam yellow golf balls, so you really don't need a net.
