Default Who taught it right in the past?

Brian, considering the thousands of golf books written over the past hundred years or so, whose teaching comes closest to yours? Someone must have got it right; it's only the golf swing after all. Excluding HK and TGM of course, but if I am in a used book store is there an author from the steel shaft era I should look for?

Ask the average golfer and they will say Ben Hogan, but how many golfers have tried to learn from 5 Lessons and never improved?
